Bookshelf instead of decor: why the mounting requirements change
A shelf that held a vase is now intended for books. The appearance is unchanged but the load is different.
What to check
Assess the board, support spacing, depth, wall and anchors together. Strong anchors cannot prevent a weak shelf from bending. Capacity comes from the full design, not the number of screws.
Preparation and next steps
Send shelf dimensions, material, bracket model and planned contents. Unload a sagging shelf or shifted bracket until checked. Choose a suitable system or relocate books. Previous successful use with lighter contents does not establish capacity.
