Furniture delivery and assembly on the same day: how to avoid downtime
Furniture is due sometime today, but the assembler is booked for the morning. A delay can disrupt both appointments.
What to check
All packages, instructions and working space must be available. Check numbered labels: a missing side panel or hardware bag may prevent assembly and leave an unfinished frame occupying the room.
Preparation and next steps
Book after delivery is confirmed and inspect packages before unpacking. Photograph damage, explain where parts are stored and agree any carrying between floors. Keep packaging and small bags until assembly and the parts check are complete.
