Curtain rod pulling away from the wall: why tightening may not help
A gap has appeared behind a curtain bracket and one end is leaning. Continued use changes loads on the remaining fixings.
What to check
A loose screw, unsuitable anchor and damaged substrate can look similar but need different repairs. Tightening harder cannot restore a broken mounting hole.
