Curtain track and suspended ceiling: what to check before installation
A ceiling track is planned below plasterboard or another decorative ceiling. The visible surface may not support the curtain load.
What to check
The solution depends on backing, access to structural material and the track model. A nearby lightweight fixture does not establish the ceiling's capacity. A photo cannot reliably reveal everything behind the finish.
Preparation and next steps
Send renovation drawings or pre-cladding photos, ceiling type, track length and fabric weight. Inspection may lead to a supported ceiling solution or wall mounting. Agree additional ceiling work separately; do not drill randomly to look for the slab.
