Dividing a room with shelving: what to check before buying
A tall shelving unit seems an easy way to divide a bedroom and workspace. A wall-positioned cabinet is not automatically suitable in the middle of a room.
What to check
Check intended use, stability, accessible fixing points and the manufacturer's layout. Floor-standing anti-tip anchoring differs from suspending the unit. Contents change the weight distribution.

Send the model, room layout and installation diagram before buying. Explain whether floor, wall or ceiling anchoring is permitted. Confirm that required supports are available before delivery. Do not use an arbitrary tall unit as a freestanding divider.
