Roller blind does not fit the opening: what to check
A blind bought to match glass width does not fit between the reveals. Overall product width can exceed fabric width.
What to check
Brackets, end caps and the control mechanism all count. The opening may vary at different heights. Not every blind can be shortened.

Send the manufacturer's dimension drawing, overall width, three opening measurements and mechanism photos. Mounting above the opening may be possible if suitable space and substrate exist. Do not cut fabric or the shaft without confirmation that the model permits it.
